Give a man a fish....

Whatever happened to the old saying, "give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for life.”?

It seems like those days are dead and gone here in the good ole you-s-of-a. We would rather give out fish, after stealing from the ponds of the rich, than teach anyone how to fish. We would rather share our wealth than let people acquire their own. We would rather steal (at gun point) money well earned by another so some other may survive.

I know that the truth can hurt, but the simple truth is that it is immoral to take something from someone else, regardless of what that is, and give it to another without consent from both parties. Therefore, it is ILLEGAL to take money from someone, just because they are wealthier, and to give it to another, just because they are less fortunate.

This is giving a man a fish. Not teaching him to catch his own. It is time we all put down our baskets and got out of the free fish line and picked up a pole or two.

It's time to learn to fish.
